Worst Investment Ever: Air Conditioning

So last night the husband and myself thought we’d escape the Dutch summer heat (yes, sometimes the sun even shines in The Netherlands!) and turn on the air conditioning in the bedroom. Around two o’clock I woke up because I heard this dripping sound. The air conditioning was flooding water…and lots of it! Straight on our wake-up light (gotta love Philips) and the husband’s Iphone. Argh!!!

So we shut the damned thing down and cleaned things up. Hopefully the mechanic will come in today or tomorrow in order to repair things.

This isn’t the first time we’ve experienced technical difficulties with the same apparatus. Last summer we used it twice because the moisture pump thingy made way too much noise. That was replaced and now it seems like that one doesn’t work properly.

This has been our worst “investment” ever. Never again!

What’s your worst investment ever?

Lets see… three children. Takes at least 25 years before you see any benefits from your investments, I have been told 0_o And we (well, my dear husband) has an oldtimer. And last but not least, we bought a house in 2008…. 😉

Jumping from airplanes whilst still on heigh altitude was not a sensible investment but I quit soon enough – synonymical for life? Besides that paying interest for our mortgage some 9 years in total – not smart but inevitable at the time and manageable.
